SIR Steering Wheel Module Coil - Assemble

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE





1. Install the wave washer and the SIR coil assembly.





2. Align the block tooth on the race and upper shaft assembly to the 12 o'clock position.
3. Turn the key to the off position and remove the key.





4. The new SIR coil assembly will be precentered. Do not depress the tab (1) on the back of the SIR coil assembly.
5. If reusing the original SIR coil, refer to Inflatable Restraint Coil Centering - Off Vehicle (Column Shift And Floor Shift).
6. Install the SIR coil assembly onto the race and upper shaft assembly. Remove the orange tab and discard it.





7. Install the retaining ring.
