Power Steering Pump Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the upper engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement in Engine.
2. Remove the drive belt from the vehicle. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in engine.
3. Remove the power steering hoses from the pump (1). Refer to Power Steering Pressure Hose Replacement and Power Steering Return Hose Replacement.
4. Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts (2).
5. Remove the power steering pump from the vehicle (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the power steering pump (1) to the engine.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the power steering pump mounting bolts (2).
- Tighten the power steering mounting bolts to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the power steering hoses to the pump. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Hose Replacement and Power Steering Return Hose Replacement.
4. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in engine.
5. Install the upper engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement in engine.
6. Fill the power steering pump with power steering fluid. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid.
