Infl Rst Steering Wheel Module Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
2. Remove the 2 screws from the back of the steering wheel.
3. Disconnect the following components from the rear of the inflator module:
^ The Connector Position Assurance (CPA)
^ The electrical connection
4. Remove the inflator module (1).

Installation Procedure
1. Connect the following components to the rear of the inflator module:
^ The Connector Position Assurance (CPA)
^ The electrical connection
2. Install the inflator module (1) to the steering wheel (3).

Notice:Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the 2 screws through the back of the steering wheel (3).

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
