Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Note the position of the hoses for installation.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector and hoses from valve.
4. Release the lock tab on the valve mounting bracket.
5. Remove the solenoid.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Bend tab on mounting bracket to retain the EVAP canister purge valve.
2. Install the canister valve to valve mounting bracket. Once installed pull on the canister valve to ensure that the part will be held in place.
3. Connect the electrical connector and hoses to solenoid.
4. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
