Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module / Service and Repair / Replacement / Programming.

2. Remove the PCM bracket attaching hardware.

3. Remove the PCM bracket.

EVAP Cannister:





4. Remove the EVAP canister vent valve bracket.

5. Remove the purge, fuel vapor, and vent lines from the EVAP canister.

6. Remove the EVAP canister from vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the EVAP canister to the vehicle.

2. Connect the [1][2]EVAP vent hose and tighten the hose clamp.

3. Connect the purge and vapor lines to the EVAP canister. Make sure the connections are correct.

4. Install the vent valve bracket.
^ Tighten the bolt to 2 Nm (18 in. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Service Precautions / Fasteners.

5. Install the PCM bracket.

6. Install the two PCM bracket bolts and the two PCM bracket retainers.

7. Install the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module / Service and Repair / Replacement / Programming.
