Engine Mount Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

^ Tools Required
- J28467-A Engine Support Fixture
- J28467-94 Engine Support Fixture Adapter
- J28467-330 Engine Support Fixture Adapter
- J28467-350 Engine Support Fixture Adapter

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair
3. Remove the engine mount to engine mount bracket nuts.





4. Remove the engine mount to engine mount bracket studs.
5. Remove the engine mount bracket nuts.





6. Remove the engine mount bracket studs and spacers.
7. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (VIN K).
8. Remove the power steering pump and set aside. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Steering and Suspension.





9. Remove the electronic ignition module and set aside.
10. Remove the coolant pump pulley.





11. Remove the engine mount bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the engine mount bracket.
2. Install the coolant pump pulley.





3. Install the electronic ignition module and set aside.
4. Install the power steering pump and set aside. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Steering and Suspension.
5. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (VIN K).
6. Install the engine mount bracket studs and spacers.





7. Install the engine mount bracket nuts.
^ Tighten the nut closest to the A/C compressor to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten the other nuts to 78 Nm (58 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

8. Install the engine mount to engine mount bracket studs.





9. Install the engine mount to engine mount bracket nuts.
^ Tighten the nuts to 78 Nm (58 ft. lbs.).
10. Remove the engine support fixtures.
11. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair
12. Connect the battery cable.
