Glove Compartment Lock: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the IP compartment.
2. Remove the door from the IP compartment.
3. Push a paper clip through the hole (2) in the back of the latch in order to hold down the silver tumbler on the lock cylinder.
4. While holding down the tumbler, insert the key.
5. Rotate the cylinder with the key a quarter turn counter-clockwise.
6. Remove the lock cylinder (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. While pushing down the silver tumbler on the lock cylinder, insert the key into the lock cylinder keyhole.
2. Install the lock cylinder assembly (1) into the IP compartment lock cylinder hole.
3. Hold the lock cylinder assembly in the hole while removing the key from the lock cylinder assembly.
4. Install the door to the IP compartment.
5. Install the IP compartment to the IP.
