SCAN

The SCAN push-button is a non-latching control which provides forward scanning of CD selections. This button is shared with the frequency scan function in tuner mode and with the cassette scan in dual playback applications. When you press the SCAN button, the following actions occur:
^ The audio is muted as the deck increments to the beginning of the next track.
^ The unit begins to play the first 10 seconds of the next track.
^ The unit increments and plays 10 seconds of each consecutive track.

If you again press the SCAN button while the function is active, the SCAN function will be canceled and the present track will continue playing.

For remote CD changer applications, scan will operate between tracks on all available discs. The SCAN symbol and the track number appear in the display while in the CD scan mode.
