Play
The TAPE/CD button is a sequencing momentary contact type of switch which causes the unit to enter he playback mode. The operation of this control is explained under the following two conditions:^ Single playback CD or dual playback units with NO cassette loaded. Pressing this button with a CD loaded will cause the CD to begin playing. This button will have no effect if a CD is not presently loaded.
^ Dual playback units with both CD and cassette loaded. Pressing this button will cause the last selected playback device to start playing. Each additional depression of the button will toggle between playbacks.
The first depression of the TAPE/CD button causes the following conditions to occur:
^ The CD mechanism halts.
^ The cassette starts playing.
Pressing the TAPE/CD button with a cassette active and a CD loaded causes the following conditions to occur:
^ The cassette deck stops playing.
^ The CD resumes playing from the same location as when the CD stopped.
Play is continuous with a wrap back to the first track after the last track has completed. A box appears around the CD symbol in the display when a CD becomes active.
