Power Steering System Inspection

Perform a road test before diagnosis. Consider the following systems during the diagnosis:
^ The suspension system
^ The tires and wheels
^ Inspect the tires for incorrect air pressure and uneven wear.
^ Inspect the joints, from the steering column to the steering gear, for loose connectors or wear.
^ Inspect the following components for any loose or damaged components:
- The front suspension
- The rear suspension
- The steering gear
- The linkage
^ Inspect the tires for the following conditions:
- Out-of-round tires
- Out-of-balance tires
- Bent wheels
- Loose or rough wheel bearings
^ Inspect the power steering system for leaks.
^ Inspect the power steering fluid level.
