Heater Hoses

Removal Procedure
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Use J 38185 in order to position aside the heater core inlet and/or outlet hose clamp.
4. Disconnect the heater inlet hose and/or the outlet hose from the heater core.
5. Use J 38185 in order to position aside the heater hose inlet and/or outlet clamp.
6. Disconnect the heater inlet hose and/or the outlet hose from the pipe adapter.
7. Remove the heater inlet hose and/or the outlet hose.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the heater inlet hose and/or outlet hose.
2. Connect the heater inlet hose and/or the outlet hose to the pipe adapter.
3. Use J 38185 in order to secure the heater hose inlet and/or outlet clamp.
4. Connect the heater inlet hose and/or the outlet hose to the heater core.
Important: Position heater core hose clamps in the indicated location.
5. Use J 38185 in order to secure the heater core hose inlet and/or outlet clamp.
6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair.
7. Refill the cooling system.
8. Inspect the cooling system for leaks.
