Transmission Shift Position Indicator Lamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

TRANS FLR Shift Control Indicator Lamp Replacement: Removal Procedure:

1. Open the front floor console storage compartment lid.
2. Ensure that the front cup holder is in the open position.
3. Remove the screws retaining the front floor console trim plate.
4. Remove the front floor console trim plate.

5. Remove the bolts retaining the floor shift control trim plate.
6. Raise the floor shift control trim plate slightly.
7. Rotate the floor shift control indicator lamp socket counterclockwise to release from the trim plate.
8. Remove the bulb from the socket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Trans FLR Shift Control Indicator Lamp Replacement: Installation Procedure:

1. Install the bulb to the socket.
2. Install the floor shift control indicator lamp socket to the floor shift control trim plate, then rotate the lamp socket clockwise to secure.
3. Lower the floor shift control trim plate into position.
4. Install the floor shift control trim plate retaining bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the floor shift control trim plate retaining bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Trans FLR Shift Control Indicator Lamp Replacement: Installation Procedure:

5. Install the front floor console trim plate.
6. Install the front floor console trim plate retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the front floor console trim plate retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

7. Close the front cup holder.
8. Close the front floor console storage compartment lid.
