Compressor Pressure Relief Valve

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
2. Recover the refrigerant.
3. Remove the pressure relief valve from the compressor head (1).
4. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

Installation Procedure

Important: The new O-ring must be coated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

1. Install the new O-ring to the pressure relief valve.
2. Install the pressure relief valve to the compressor head (1).

Tighten
Tighten the pressure relief valve to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system.
4. Inspect the A/C system for leaks.
5. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly.
