Brake Hose/Line: Testing and Inspection

The flexible hydraulic brake hoses transmit hydraulic pressure from the steel brake pipes on the body to the calipers. Inspect the hoses at least twice a year. Inspect the brake hoses for the following conditions:
- Road hazard damage
- Cracks
- Chafing of the outer cover
- Leaks
- Blisters
- Proper routing and mounting Use a light and a mirror for an adequate inspection. Replace any hoses with any of the above conditions.
