Steering Column Filler Panel Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Steering Column Filler Replacement: Removal Procedure:

1. Remove the LH instrument panel (IP) insulator.
2. Remove the screws retaining the data link connector (DLC).
3. Reposition the DLC out of the way.
4. Grasp the IP steering column opening filler panel and carefully pull rearward to release the retainers and remove the panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Steering Column Filler Replacement: Installation Procedure:

1. Align the IP steering column opening filler panel to the IP trim pad then carefully press into place to secure the retainers.
2. Install the DLC into position.
3. Install the DLC retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the DLC retaining screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

4. Install the LH IP insulator.
