Release Lever Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Hood Release Lever Replacement: Removal Procedure:

1. Remove the LH instrument panel (IP) insulator.
2. Remove the steering column opening filler panel.
3. Remove the bolts retaining the base of the hood release handle.

Hood Release Lever Replacement: Removal Procedure:

4. Release and remove the hood release cable from the hood release handle.
5. Remove the hood release handle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Hood Release Lever Replacement: Installation Procedure:

1. Install the hood release cable to the hood release handle.

Hood Release Lever Replacement: Installation Procedure:

2. Position the hood release handle to the IP trim pad.
3. Install the hood release handle retaining bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the hood release handle retaining bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the steering column opening filler panel.
5. Install the LH IP insulator.
