Hood Adjustment

REPAIR PROCEDURE
The hood hinges are bolted to the fender and the hood, Fore-aft adjustment may be made by elongating the hood-side hinge holes. Vertical adjustment at the front may be made by adjusting the hood bumpers up or down. Gap tolerances are 4 mm +1-1.5 mm (0.16 inch +1-0.06 inch) and flush tolerances are 0 mm +1-1.5 mm (0 inch +1-0.06 inch).

Hood Adjustment: Repair Procedure:

1. Open the hood.
2. Loosen the hood hinge to hood bolts.
3. Adjust the hood to fender position.
4. Gently close the hood.
5. Check the alignment.
6. Open the hood.
7. Adjust hood as needed.
8. Tighten the hood hinge to hood bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the hood hinge to hood bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Hood Adjustment: Repair Procedure:

9. Adjust the hood bumpers.
10. Close the hood.
