REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Fuel Filler Pocket Replacement: Removal Procedure:

1. Open the fuel filler door.
2. Remove the fuel filler cap.
3. Remove the bolts from the fuel filler pocket at the fuel filler neck.

4. Remove the nut from the fuel filler door actuator cable.
5. Remove the fuel filler door actuator cable from the fuel filler pocket.
6. Apply tape to the opening around the fuel filler pocket.

7. Remove the fuel filler pocket using a small flat-bladed tool.
8. Press down and out from the top edge of the fuel filler pocket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Fuel Filler Pocket Replacement: Installation Procedure:

1. Install the fuel filler door actuator cable to the fuel filler pocket.
2. Install the nut to the fuel filler door actuator cable.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel filler door actuator cable nut to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Fuel Filler Pocket Replacement: Installation Procedure:

3. Install the fuel filler pocket to fuel filler neck.
4. Press in until fully seated.
5. Install the fuel filler neck bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel filler neck bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

Fuel Filler Pocket Replacement: Installation Procedure:

6. Replace the fuel filler cap.
7. Close the fuel filler door.
