REMOVAL PROCEDURE

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Fascia Replacement: Rear Bumper - Removal Procedure:

1. Remove the rear compartment trim panel.
2. Remove the rear bumper fascia retainer nuts.

Fascia Replacement: Rear Bumper - Removal Procedure:

3. Remove the rear bumper fascia bolts.
4. Remove the rear bumper fascia splash shield.

Fascia Replacement: Rear Bumper - Removal Procedure:

5. Remove the rear bumper fascia lower retainers using J 38778.

Fascia Replacement: Rear Bumper - Removal Procedure:

6. Remove the rear bumper fascia upper retainers using the J 38778.

Fascia Replacement: Rear Bumper - Removal Procedure:

7. Remove the rear bumper fascia from the body.
8. Remove the bumper fascia outer support from the fascia.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Fascia Replacement: Rear Bumper - Installation Procedure:

1. Install the bumper fascia outer support to the fascia.
2. install the rear bumper fascia to the body.

3. Install the rear bumper fascia upper retainers.

Fascia Replacement: Rear Bumper - Installation Procedure:

4. Install the rear bumper fascia lower retainers.
5. Install the rear bumper fascia splash shield.

Fascia Replacement: Rear Bumper - Installation Procedure:

6. Install the rear bumper fascia bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the rear bumper fascia bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

Fascia Replacement: Rear Bumper - Installation Procedure:

7. Install the rear bumper fascia nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the rear bumper fascia nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

8. Install the rear compartment trim panel.
