REMOVAL PROCEDURE

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Fascia Replacement: Front Bumper - Removal Procedure:

1. Remove the front fender liners.
2. Remove the bolts from the front bumper fascia at fender.

3. Remove the push-in retainers from the front bumper fascia lower support at the front impact bar using J 38778.

4. Remove the bolts from the front bumper fascia lower bumper support at the front bumper impact bar.

5. Remove the front bumper fascia air baffle.
6. Remove the push-in retainers from front bumper fascia upper support using the J 38778.

7. Remove the bolts from the front bumper fascia upper support.

8. Remove the front bumper fascia from the vehicle.

Fascia Replacement: Front Bumper - Removal Procedure:

9. Remove the retainer tab. Rotate the retainer tab counterclockwise.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Fascia Replacement: Front Bumper - Installation Procedure:

1. Align the front bumper fascia to vehicle.
2. Position the front bumper fascia retainer to opening in fender reinforcement.

Fascia Replacement: Front Bumper - Installation Procedure:

3. Rotate the retainer until tab is secured into hole. Rotate the retainer tab clockwise.

Fascia Replacement: Front Bumper - Installation Procedure:

4. Install the bolts to the front bumper fascia at fender.

Tighten
Tighten the front bumper fascia to fender bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

5. Install the push-in retainers to the front bumper fascia upper support.

Fascia Replacement: Front Bumper - Installation Procedure:

6. Install the bolts to the front bumper fascia upper support.

Tighten
Tighten the front bumper fascia to upper support bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

7. Install the front bumper fascia air baffle.
8. Install the push-in retainers to the front bumper fascia lower support at the lower impact bar.

Fascia Replacement: Front Bumper - Installation Procedure:

9. Install the bolts to the front bumper fascia lower bumper support at the front bumper impact bar.

Tighten
Tighten the front bumper fascia lower support bolts to 2 N.m(18 lb in).

10. Install the front fender liners.
