Passlock Lock Cylinder Description

PASSLOCK(TM) Ignition Lock Cylinder
The PASSLOCK(TM) ignition lock cylinder is a locking cylinder that turns a rotating magnet past a stationary hall effect sensor creating PASSLOCK(TM) data which is sent to the Body Control Module (BCM). The PASSLOCK(TM) ignition lock cylinder is interfaced with the (BCM) via a three-wire connection (power, ground, and data).

Ignition Switch Description:




Ignition Switch Description
The ignition switch is located to the right of the steering column in the instrument panel. The ignition switch is separate from the ignition lock cylinder. However, both are synchronized and work in conjunction.
