Oil Feed Pipes Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
3. Remove the lower oil pan.
4. Remove the filter assembly.
5. Remove the 3 bolts (81) attaching the oil feed pipe assembly to transmission. Refer to Oil Feed Pipes Removal under Transaxle Unit Repair.
6. Remove the oil feed assembly with the 8 seals (82).
7. Inspect the oil feed pipes for plugged passages, bent pipes or cracks.
8. Inspect the oil feed pipe seal rings. Verify the proper location of the seal rings. Replace the seal rings only if they are cut, swelled or damaged.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the oil feed pipe assembly onto the transmission. Refer to Oil Feed Pipes Assemble under Transaxle Unit Repair.
2. Install, hand start and tighten the three oil, feed pipe bolts (81).
^ Tighten the 3 bolts to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the oil filter assembly.
4. Install the lower oil pan and gasket assembly. Refer to Transmission Fluid Checking Procedure (Oil Level Check).
