REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

TOOL REQUIRED:
J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator

1. Wiper arm and blade assemblies. See "Wiper Arm Assembly Replacement." Service and Repair
2. Negative battery cable.
3. Top vent grille panel.
4. Transmission drive link socket from wiper motor crank arm ball (Figure 17) using J 39232 (Figure 18).
5. Electrical connectors from wiper motor assembly (18, Figure 17).
6. Three screws (19).
7. Wiper motor assembly while guiding crank arm through hole.
8. Seal (17) from wiper motor assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

Tool Required:
J 39529 Wiper Transmission Installer

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in General Information.

1. Seal (17) on wiper motor assembly (1 8).
2. Wiper motor assembly while guiding crank arm through hole.
3. Three screws (19).

Tighten
^ Screws (19) to 9 N.m (80 lb. in.).

4. Electrical connectors to wiper motor assembly.
5. Transmission drive link socket to wiper motor crank arm ball using J 39529 (Figure 19).
6. Top vent grille panel.
7. Negative battery cable.
8. Wiper arm and blade assemblies. See "Wiper Arm Assembly Replacement."
