Reverse Servo Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Remove the EGR pipe from the exhaust manifold.
3. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe. Refer to Exhaust Crossover Removal in Exhaust System.
4. Depress the servo cover.
5. Remove the snap ring and the servo cover.





6. Remove the following parts:
^ The piston assembly
^ The sealing ring
^ The servo spring





7. For the disassembly of the servo piston assembly, refer to Reverse Servo Disassemble in Transmission Unit Repair.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the following parts:
^ The servo spring
^ The sealing ring
^ The piston assembly





2. Install the servo cover and the snap ring.
3. Install the exhaust crossover pipe. Refer to Exhaust Crossover Removal in Exhaust System.
4. Install the EGR pipe to the exhaust manifold.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
