Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair
A/C Hose Routing And Service Port Locations:
Tool Required:
J 39500 A/C Refrigerant Recovery, Recharging, and Recycling Station
Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Recover refrigerant.
3. Wire connector from A/C pressure sensor.
4. Raise vehicle.
5. Line at condenser.
6. Line at evaporator.
7. Compressor/condenser hose from compressor.
8. Discard all the O-ring seals and sealing washers.
Install or Connect
1. Compressor/condenser hose at compressor using new sealing washers.
Tighten
^ Fitting to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
2. Hose to retainers.
3. Line at evaporator.
Tighten
^ Fitting to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Line at condenser using new O-ring seals.
Tighten
^ Fitting to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
6. A/C pressure sensor and wire conductor.
Tighten
^ Sensor to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
7. Evacuate and charge A/C system.
8. Leak test.
