Blower Motor Case and Insulator

Blower Assembly:

Blower Case Insulator Cut Diagram:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Electrical connections at blower motor, ABS module, and blower motor resistor.
3. Un-clip engine harness from housing and set aside.
4. Relay housing, set aside.
5. Right inner tie rod assembly from rack/pinion assembly.
6. Loosen left side rack/pinion assembly attaching nuts.
7. Attaching nuts on right side of rack/pinion assembly and move assembly outward to gain access to lower housing cover screw.
8. Housing retaining screw from bottom of blower case.
9. Remainder of housing insulator attaching screws and nuts. (Total of 8 screws and 2 nuts).
10. Blower motor case insulator.
11. Blower motor case.

Install or Connect

1. Blower motor case.
2. Blower motor case insulator.
3. Insulator attachment screws and nuts.

Tighten
^ Screws and Nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

4. Rack/pinion assembly attachment nuts.
5. Right side tie rod assembly to rack/pinion assembly.
6. Relay housing.
7. Engine hamess.
8. Electrical connections at blower motor, ABS module, and blower resistor.
9. Negative battery cable.

Tighten
^ Bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
