Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the air cleaner duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
2. Remove the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts.
3. Remove the exhaust crossover heat shields.





4. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe bolts.
5. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the exhaust crossover pipe.
2. Install the exhaust crossover bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Install the exhaust crossover heat shields.
4. Install the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

5. Install the air cleaner duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
6. Inspect for exhaust leaks.
