Traction Active Lamp

NOTE: Illumination of the "TRACTION ACTIVE" lamp indicates that "Traction Control" is active. This lamp does not mean a malfunction has occurred or service is needed.

The method Oldsmobile uses to control the "TRACTION ACTIVE" indicator lamps is by messages received over the UART serial data lines to the IPC telling it when to turn the indicator "OFF" and "ON."
