Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair

Description:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Washer solvent from washer solvent container (1).
2. Electrical connectors (2 and 3) from washer pump (4) and solvent level sensor switch (5).
3. Hose (6) from washer pump (4).
4. Loosen nut (7) at bottom of washer solvent container (1).
5. Two nuts (7) and washer solvent container (1).
6. Washer pump (4) from container (1).
7. Solvent level sensor switch (5) from washer solvent container (1).

Install or Connect

Important
^ Tab on solvent level sensor switch must be lined up with slot in hole.

1. Solvent level sensor switch (5) in washer solvent container (1).

Important
^ Make sure new washer pump is pushed all the way into the container seal.

2. Washer pump (4) in washer solvent container (1).
3. Washer solvent container (1) with three nuts (7).

Tighten
^ Nuts to 5 Nm (44 lb. in.).

4. Electrical connectors (3 and 2) to solvent level sensor switch (5) and washer pump (4).
5. Hose (6) to washer pump (4).
6. Washer solvent in washer solvent container (1).
