Stabilizer Shaft and Link












^ Tools Required
- J 24319-B Universal Steering Linkage Puller
- Or Equivalent

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise vehicle and suitably support by frame allowing control arms to hang free.
2. Front wheels and tires.
3. Left and right stabilizer link bolts.
4. Stabilizer shaft brackets, left and right side.
5. Using tool J 24319-B, tie rod ends from knuckles.
6. Exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold.
7. Turn passenger side strut completely to the right. Slide stabilizer shaft over steering knuckle. Pull down until stabilizer shaft clears the frame.
8. Stabilizer shaft from vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Stabilizer shaft into position.
2. Loosely install left and right stabilizer shaft insulators, brackets and bolts.
3. Loosely install stabilizer link components.
4. Tie rod ends to knuckles.
^ Tighten:
- Bracket bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
- Stabilizer link nut to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
- Tie rod end to knuckle.
- Nuts to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Maximum is 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs.) for cotter pin alignment. Do not back off nut for cotter pin insertion.
5. Cotter pins in tie rod ends.
6. Exhaust pipe to manifold, and tighten manifold bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
7. Front wheels and tires.
^ Tighten wheel nuts to 140 Nm (100 ft. lbs.)
8. Lower vehicle.
