DTC 34

TEST CONDITIONS: Check for vehicle speed signal during periods when vehicle movement is suspected.

FAULT CONDITIONS: If vehicle speed signal is not detected for 20 seconds, followed by 5 or more transitions in lateral accelerator switch input, set code.

ACTION TAKEN: Record vehicle speed signal error. Turn on both driver select switch Light Emitting Diodes (L.E.D.'s). System will continue to default to zero speed damping level (Sport mode).

DESCRIPTION: A vehicle speed signal error occurs when the Control Module detects 5 or more transitions in the lateral accelerator switch input after 20 or more seconds without a vehicle speed input. If a fault is detected, the system will set error code 34 and activate the error lamp.
