Multifunction Switch Replacement

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
The left side of this switch has a lever which includes the headlamp, turn signal, and headlamp dimmer switches. The right hand lever includes the windshield wiper and washer functions.
1. Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.
2. Inflator module.
3. Steering wheel.
4. Reposition SIR coil.
5. Tilt lever from column. Pull out.
6. Upper and lower steering column covers.
7. Switch assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Switch assembly.
^ Tighten multifuntion Switch to Steering Column 4 Nm (35 lb in).
2. Upper and lower steering column covers.
^ Tighten steering Column Cover Screws 2 Nm (18 lb in).
3. Tilt lever to column. Push in.
4. SIR coil.
5. Steering wheel.
^ Tighten Steering Wheel Nut to Shaft 41 Nm (30 lb ft).
6. Inflator module.
^ Tighten Inflator Module to Steering Wheel Screws 7 Nm (62 lb in).
7. Enable the (SIR) system.
