Starter Mounting:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable at battery.
2. Raise vehicle.
3. Lower closeout panel.
4. Starter motor-to-engine bolts, then lower the starter.
5. Electrical leads.
6. Starter.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Starter.
2. Leads to starter.

Tighten
^ Cable to solenoid 12 N.m (106 lb in).

3. Starter to engine bolts.

Tighten
^ Bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

4. Lower closeout panel.
5. Lower vehicle.
6. Negative battery cable.

Tighten
^ Bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
