Installation

1. Install the engine.
2. Connect the electrical connectors to the generator. See Starting and Charging.
3. Remove the engine lifting device.
4. Remove the support from the transaxle.
5. Install the bell housing bolts.
6. Connect the necessary vacuum lines.
7. Connect the electrical quick connectors to the PCM.
8. Install the plastic cover to the shock tower.
9. Raise the vehicle.
10. Suitably support the transaxle. Use a jacking fixture.
11. Install the engine mount bracket bolts and nuts on the transaxle. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
12. Remove the transaxle support.
13. Install the transaxle shield. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
14. Install the drive axle. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
15. Install the ball joint into the control arm. Install the right ball joint nut. See Steering and Suspension.
16. Install the outer tie rod. See Steering and Suspension.
17. Connect the electrical connections to the front of the engine.
18. Install the torque converter bolts. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
19. Install the electrical connections to the rear of the engine.
20. Install the motor mount nuts at the frame.
21. Install the front exhaust pipe and the converter. See Exhaust System.
22. Install the starter motor. See Starting and Charging.
23. Install the flex plate inspection covers. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
24. Position the A/C compressor to the bracket. See Heating and Air Conditioning.
25. Install the lower bolts on the A/C compressor. See Heating and Air Conditioning.
26. Install a new oil filter.
27. Install the right front splash shield. See Body and Frame.
28. Install the right front tire and the right front wheel assembly.
29. Lower the vehicle.
30. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C compressor. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
31. Install the upper A/C compressor bolts. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
32. Install the accessory drive belt.
33. Connect the power steering lines at the pump and at the front cover. See Steering and Suspension.
34. Install the fuel injector cover. See Powertrain Management.
35. Connect the ground straps to the bell housing. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
36. Install the exhaust crossover. See Exhaust System.
37. Connect the fuel lines. See Powertrain Management.
38. Connect the control cables to the throttle body bracket and to the throttle body. See Powertrain Management.
39. Install the radiator. Connect the radiator hoses. See Cooling System.
40. Connect the transaxle cooler lines. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
41. Connect the radiator hoses to the engine. See Cooling System.
42. Install the cooling fans. See Cooling System.
43. Install the engine mount strut bracket at the tie bar.
44. Install the engine mount strut.
45. Connect the heater hoses to the engine. See Heating and Air Conditioning.
46. Install the coolant recovery reservoir. See Cooling System.
47. Refill the engine oil.
48. Refill the cooling system. See Cooling System.
49. Refill the power steering fluid. See Steering and Suspension.
50. Check the transaxle fluid level. Refill the transaxle fluid if necessary. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
51. Install the hood. Do this with the aid of an assistant. See Body and Frame.
52. Install the air cleaner duct. See Powertrain Management.
53. Adjust the fluid levels as needed.
54. Bleed the cooling system. See Cooling System.
55. Bleed the power steering system. See Steering and Suspension.
