Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Record all of the vehicle preset radio stations (if applicable).
2. Record the customer's radio THEFTLOCK code (if applicable).
3. Battery negative cable from battery.
Clean
^ Any existing oxidation from the contact face of the battery terminal and battery cable using a wire brush before installing the battery cable to the battery terminal.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

Refer to Service Precautions.

1. Battery negative cable to battery.
Tighten
^ Bolt/screw to 15 N.m (11 lb. ft.).
2. Unlock the THEFTLOCK radio (if applicable).
3. Program the radio stations back into the radio as recorded at beginning of procedure.
