Quick Disconnect Fitting

Quick Connect Heater Inlet Nipple:

Tool Required:
J 38723 Heater Line Quick Connect Separator

Remove or Disconnect
1. Air cleaner and duct assembly.
2. Drain cooling system.
3. Heater inlet pipe retaining nut.
4. Heater inlet pipe quick disconnect from nipple.
5. Quick disconnect nipple.

Inspect
^ O-ring sealing surface on pipe.

Adjust
^ If replacing heater inlet nipple, remove retainer from pipe and discard, as new nipple is equipped with retainer.
^ If replacing pipe, remove retainer from pipe and reinsert in nipple.
^ If reusing pipe and nipple, retainer can remain in place on pipe.

Install or Connect

1. Quick disconnect nipple.
2. Heater inlet pipe quick disconnect to nipple.
3. Heater inlet pipe retaining nut.

Tighten
^ Nut to 7 N.m (62 lb. in.).

4. Refill cooling system.
5. Air cleaner and duct assembly.
