Brake Pedal Assy: Service and Repair

Brake Pedal Mounting:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Driver's side sound insulator panel.
2. Stoplamp switch.
3. Cruise control switch (if equipped).
4. Wiring hamess clips.

Booster Push Rod To Brake Pedal:

5. Master cylinder pushrod retaining clip at brake pedal.
6. Brake pedal mounting nut and bolt.
7. Brake pedal and bushings if necessary.Clean all parts with suitable solvent.

Brake Pedal And Bushing Installation:

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Brake pedal and bushings if removed.
2. Brake pedal mounting nut and bolt. Tighten Nut and Bolt to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
3. Master cylinder pushrod retaining clip at brake pedal.
4. Wiring hamess clips.
5. Cruise control switch (if equipped).
6. Stoplamp switch.
7. Driver's side sound insulator panel.
