Water/Coolant Pump

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain and recover the cooling system.
3. Remove the serpentine belt.
4. Remove the coolant pump pulley bolts.
5. Remove the coolant pump pulley.





6. Remove the coolant pump attaching bolts.
7. Remove the coolant pump.
8. Clean the coolant pump and the sealing surfaces.

Installation Procedure





1. Using a new gasket, install the coolant pump.





2. Install the bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the coolant pump bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Install the coolant pump pulley.
4. Install the serpentine belt.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Refill cooling system.
7. Inspect for leaks.
