Replacement

Raise vehicle and suitably support. Clean Dirt and foreign material around wheel cylinder assembly inlet and pilot.





REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Inlet tube nut and line. Plug opening in line to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
2. Brake drum.
3. Hub and bearing assembly.
4. Pull backing plate away from axle flange. Do not let backing plate hang from parking brake cable. Damage may occur.
5. Wheel cylinder bolts using a #6 Torx socket.
6. Wheel cylinder.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Wheel cylinder bolts using a #6 Torx socket. Tighten Wheel cylinder bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
2. Backing plate to axle flange.
3. Hub and bearing assembly.
4. Brake drum.
5. Inlet tube line and nut. Tighten Inlet tube nut to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
6. Bleed wheel cylinder and then complete brake system.
