The SCAN push-button is momentary type control that is shared with the preset scan feature. Pressing the button will intermediately mute the audio. Releasing die button within 2 seconds will cause the frequency to increase until a signal of sufficient strength enables stopping. Meter stopping, the audio is un-muted while the tuner pauses for 5 seconds before again muting and continuing scanning. If the SCAN button is depressed a second time or if no stations are found after two complete band cycles, to scan action will, cease and the receiver will revert or stay tuned to frequency that was selected.
^ If the TUNE control is adjusted while scanning, the scan action will cease and the frequency change from the preset scanned frequency.
