Test E Traction Active Lamp Inoperative W/No DTC's Set:

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. Determines which Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) option the vehicle has.
2. Determines if the "TRACTION ACTIVE" indicator passes the Bulb Test.
3. Checks the integrity of connectors to be corrosion free and not damaged.
4. The J 39700 Pinout Box with the J 39700-25 adapter cable must be connected before this step is performed. This step checks for a short to GND in CKT 1656.
5. Uses the IPC Lamp Test to determine if the malfunction is in the IPC.
6. Uses the ABS/TCS Lamp Test to determine if the malfunction is in the EBTCM.
