"Traction Off" Indicator Inoperative With No DTC's Set:

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. Determines which Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) option the vehicle has.
2. Verifies that the "BRAKE," "TRACTION OFF," and "ANTILOCK" indicators work correctly during the Bulb Test.
3. Determines if the malfunction is in the Instrument Panel Cluster.
4. Determines if the malfunction is in the "TRACTION OFF" indicator control circuits.
5. Determines if the EBTCM is malfunctioning.
6. Checks for an open in CKT 1250.
7. Checks for an open in CKT 39.
8. Checks for an open in the LDM, EBTCM, or CKT 1572.
9. The J 39700 Pinout Box with the J 39700-25 adapter cable mus0t be connected before this step is performed. This step checks for an open in CKT 1572.
10. Checks for a short to voltage in CKT 1660.
11. Verifies that a known good LDM turns the "TRACTION OFF" indicator "ON" using the Tech 1 ABS/TCS Lamp Test.
12. Checks the "TRACTION OFF" indicator bulb.
13. Checks for an open in CKT 1660.
