EGR Valve: Service and Repair

EGR Valve Service:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the linear EGR valve electrical connector.
2. Remove the linear EGR valve nuts.
3. Remove the linear EGR valve.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install new EGR system gaskets.
2. Install the linear EGR valve and the two retaining nuts.

During EGR valve installation, ensure the proper alignment of the following gaskets:

^ The EGR piping to the throttle body adapter gasket.
^ The EGR to the throttle body adapter gasket.

Tighten
Nuts to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).

3. Reconnect the linear EGR valve electrical connector.
