Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair

AIR Pump:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the right front wheel and tire assembly.
4. Remove the right inner fender access cover.
5. Disconnect the bleed-off valve and pump electrical connectors.
6. Remove the hoses from the pump assembly.
7. Remove the three bolts (3) securing pump assembly to bracket.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the AIR pump to the bracket with three retaining bolts.

Tighten
Bolts to 6-10 Nm (5-8 lb ft).

2. Install the hoses to the pump assembly
3. Reconnect the bleed-off valve and pump electrical connectors.
4. Install the right inner fender access cover.
5. Install the right front wheel assembly.

Tighten
Wheel Lug nuts to 140 Nm (104 lb ft).

6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
