Upper Intake Manifold:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery negative cable.
2. Air cleaner.
3. Drain coolant.
4. Control cables at throttle body of upper intake.
5. Fuel rail cover.
6. Evaporator emission canister purge solenoid bracket bolts.
7. Evaporator emission canister purge solenoid and bracket.
8. Spark plug wires from coils.
9. Control module mounting bolts.
10. Control module and coils.
11. Control module mounting bracket bolts.
12. Control module mounting bracket.
13. Vacuum hose at manifold.
14. Upper intake manifold bolts.
15. Upper intake manifold and gasket.

CLEAN
^ Gasket material from mating surfaces.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Upper intake manifold and gasket.
2. Upper intake manifold bolts. Tighten bolts to 26 Nm (19 lb. ft.).
3. Vacuum hose at upper intake manifold.
4. Control module mounting bracket.
5. Control module mounting bracket bolts. Tighten bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb. ft.).
6. Control module and coils.
7. Control module and coil mounting bolts. Tighten bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb. ft.).
8. Spark plug wires.
9. Evaporator emission canister purge solenoid harness and brackets. Tighten bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb. ft.).
10. Fuel rail cover.
11. Control cables at throttle body of upper intake.
12. Refill coolant.
13. Air cleaner.
14. Battery negative cable.
