Fuel Tank Unit: Description and Operation

Fuel Tank Unit:

OPERATION
The fuel gauge sender assembly sends an output to the fuel gauge proportional to the fuel filled and/or consumed. It is assembled in and at the top of the fuel tank and held in place with a cam lock ring. A gasket is used between the tank and the sender assembly.

The sender assembly has three nylon pipes attached. One pipe is for the fuel feed. The second pipe is connected to the vapor canister, to keep fuel vapor from getting into the air. The third pipe is used as a fuel return pipe back to the tank.
