WARNING:

1. Remove ignition lock. Refer to Ignition Lock / Service and Repair.
2. Remove housing as follows:
a. Install tilt lever and place column in full Up position.
b. Pull upward on tilt lever and pull housing upward until it stops.
c. Move housing to right to disengage rack from actuator, then remove housing from steering column.
3. Refer to Fig. 3 for ignition and dimmer switch replacement procedures.
4. Install housing as follows:
a. While holding up on tilt lever to disengage lock shoes install over steering shaft.
b. Move rack downward and hold. Tip housing to the left until rack engages pin on actuator rod.
c. Push housing down until pivot pin holes are in alignment.
