Transmission Mount: Service and Repair

FRONT AND REAR TRANSAXLE MOUNTS

Tool Required:

J 28467-A Engine Support Fixture

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Install J 28467-A and raise the engine to take pressure off of the motor mounts.
3. Through bolt at transaxle mount.
4. Bolts attaching transaxle mount to transaxle.
5. Transaxle mount.

Install or Connect

1. Transaxle mount to transaxle and install bolts.

Tighten
Mount bolt, refer to figure 1.


2. Through bolt and nut at transaxle mount.

Tighten
Through bolt and nut to 60 Nm (44 lbs. ft.).

3. Remove J 28467-A.
4. Negative battery cable.
