Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Throttle Body With MAF:

Remove or Disconnect:
1. Remove negative battery cable
2. Partially drain cooling system to allow hoses at throttle body to be removed.
3. Remove air intake duct
4. Disconnect electrical connectors from TP sensor, IAC valve and MAF sensor
5. Disconnect accelerator control cables
6. Remove throttle body attaching bolts
7. Remove throttle body assembly and flange gasket, discard gasket

Install or Connect:
1. Install throttle body assembly with new flange gasket
2. Tighten throttle body attaching bolts
Torque Value: 15 N-m (11 lb.ft.)
3. Install accelerator control cables
4. Connect electrical connectors to TP sensor, IAC valve, and MAF sensor
5. Install air intake assembly
6. Fill radiator
7. Connect negative battery cable
