Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

Fuel Rail Assembly (Exploded View):

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Remove throttle body assembly.
4. Remove the pressure regulator bracket attaching screw.
5. Remove the regulator assembly and O-rings, discard the O-rings.

Reverse procedure for assembly.

INSTALLATION NOTES

1. Lubricate new O-rings with clean engine oil, and before installation.
2. Install the regulator and attaching screw and tighten to 22.5 Nm (102 lb.in).
